The Depths of Ethanol
Ethanol has the chemical formula CH3CH2OH. This molecule contains 2-carbon atoms, 6-hydrogen atoms, and 1-oxygen atom. All three of these atoms are considered to be nonmetal. Ethanol is also identified by other names such as ethyl alcohol, ethyl hydrate and grain alcohol. The general public often refers to ethanol as "alcohol".
